Rotary Clubs in your city may be a resource to support completion of Derry Conference outcomes.

Rotary District 7950, which covers South Eastern Massachusetts and the State of Rhode Island, is working with UMass Boston to encourage Rotary Clubs in each of the FCT cities where they are located, to become a resource to each city's efforts to complete the outcomes reached at the Derry Conference last May.

To the extend that there are inter-city arrangements, the Rotary Clubs in each of those cities may also be approached to partner as a potential resource to support the inter-city agreements.

We would be happy to help facilitate setting up the connections where needed.

Just so you are aware, the Rotary Clubs that have been contacted at this point and that have expressed an interest in learning about the FCT projects and discussing how they can be a support or resource are:

The Rotary Club of Jerusalem,

the Rotary Club of Mitrovica,

the Rotary Club of Ramallah.

I would be happy to provide contact details.

We are apporaching  the Rotary Clubs in other FCT cities.

About the FCT logo

The logo for the Forum for Cities in Transition was based on the semi-circular arrangement of tables for the plenary sessions at the initial conference that took place April 14-16, 2008, at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. There is further inspiration from King Arthur's famed Round Table, with no head and everyone who sits there having equal status. In this design, the circle is presently half-complete, but with leaders of each city at their place, there will be collaborative work among Forum participants to realise a full circle.
